Day Wise Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Arrive Paro/Thimpu :

    The flight into Bhutan takes you to the great Himalayas, offering the most scintillating scenery of the world’s highest glacial peak. On arrival, transfer to Thimphu, the modern capital town of Bhutan. Overnight stay at Thimphu.

  • Day 2 : Thimpu :

    Today’s full day of sightseeing in Thimphu valley includes visit to National library, Art school, Traditional Medicine Institute Memorial Chorten, Tashichhodzong, Textile and Folk Heritage Museum, Handicrafts Emporium. Dinner and overnight stay at Thimpu.

  • Day 3 : Thimpu / Tongsa :

    Drive Dochula pass (alt. 3100m.) If the weather permits, you can see the range of high Himalayan peaks. Further drive onwards arriving Wangduephodrang Town for lunch. Stop enroute at Chendbji Chorten, which was built in 18th century . Arrive Tongsa for overnight stay.

  • Day 4 : Tongsa / Bumthang :

    After breakfast visit Tongsa Dzong, built by Shabdrung in 1647. Visit the Tower of Trongsa Museum, Ta Dzong museum Then drive to bumthang through the youtong La pass (alt. 3 400m – 29 Km from Tongsa). On arrival in Bumthang, Check into the lodge. Lunch, visit to kurje Lhakhang (Where the saint body imprint on a rock), the jambey lhakhang (7th century) , Tamshin Monastery (Containing one of the oldest paintings in Bhutan), The Jakar Dzong. Later take a stroll in the village. Overnight stay at Bumthang.

  • Day 5 : Bumthang / Punakha :

    After breakfast explore fascinating valley of bumthang. Then proceed to Punakha. Enroute stop for Lunch . Before arriving in Punakha visit Wangduephodrang Dzong and town enroute. Overnight stay at Punakha.

  • Day 6 : Punakha / Paro :

    Morning visit Punakha Dzong, a massve structure built at the junction of two traditionalBhutaness Farm House which offers good insight into life style of local people and their culture. On arrival in Paro check into the hotel for overnight stay.

  • Day 7 : Paro :

    Today’s full day sightseeing in Paro valley includes visit to : Ta Dzong (The national Museum), the Paro Dzong. After lunch drive to Drukgye Dzong bult to commemorate Bhutanese victory over the Tibetans in 1644. Also enroute visit to kychu lhakhang. Overnight stay in Paro.

  • Day 8 : Paro depart :

    Early breakfast in the hotel and drive to the airport onward flight.
